‘They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday is as just as bad
Yeah, they call it stormy Monday but Tuesday, Tuesday is as just as bad
You know Wednesday is worst, and Thursday, oh so sad’ -Albert King
If you are reading this from England then you the above lyrics will resonate deep within your soul right now. This week has been a wash out – literally. I have had to cancel so many fabulous photoshoots due to the abysmal British weather and I for one am less than impressed with that! I took this opportune moment in between the thunder and lightening to quickly shoot some photos of the fabulous earrings I was gifted recently by Hazel & Kent.
I bought this 60s style micro mini from Depop (another one of my bargains) for £2.00. Originally, I wanted to wear this for a music video I was filming but it didn’t come in time and is a little on the short side anyhow. Paired with thick white tights and some chunky patent Mary Jane shoes, I love how the vibrant print stands out. Unfortunately, my garden looks grey and drab compared to this outfit but this crazy flower printed mini dress somewhat lifts the mood.
So I have also recently discovered how to pop my hair into a faux fringe (video blog post coming soon) – no amount of rubbish weather can give me a bad hair day now. I play around with my hair a lot – it is fairly long and a frizzy hot mess at the best of times so I really enjoy experimenting with different styles, tips and tricks. Today’s hairstyle is definitely inspired by Paloma Faith (who I utterly adore) – it took me 5 minutes!
I paired this outfit with the ultimate accessory – bling. These fabulous topaz studs from Hazel & Kent are the perfect addition and just the right amount of sparkle. They really catch the light when worn and come with a simple silver stud backing. Such a delicate little accessory but one that makes a big impact to the glamour factor.
