Sand in my Toes, Ahoy Lassie & a Bank Holiday Giveaway c/o Atomic Swag

Untitled Hello Peaches! Well that time of year has come around again – the week I was born ( like the Queen, I celebrate several dates haha!) and I am as always – super jam packed! I have birthday celebrations, a lot of live performance dates and I am managing to squeeze in some family time too! I wonder if I would be able to cope if life was a lot less busy and the simple answer to that – nope! I love being on the go and fitting as much as I can into my days. Being a typical Virgo, I like to be organised and making lists is one of my favourite things to do. So today my family visited the lovely beach of St Anne’s!

Now don’t get me wrong, I do love living near the countryside and find the endless fields and sheep very peaceful but there is just something about the waves of a beach that I am drawn to like a magnet. Perhaps I was a mermaid in a former life…. (what a thought!) or maybe it is just my fascination with anything nautical that makes me want to be a sailor jerry!

Untitled THE perfect tee shirt to wear on a beach is of course this one c/o Atomic Swag Tees. The “Ahoy Lassie” design was an original 1950s pull over sweater and has now been carefully reproduced and put onto a t shirt (available in both a men’s fit and a ladies!)

To celebrate my birthday and because I love a good ole’ sailor – you can win your very own “Ahoy Lassie” tee. Pop over to my Instagram feed to find out how you can take part in my Bank Holiday GIVEAWAY (XSM-2XL in a ladies fit is available for the giveaway, ends August 29th) courtesy of Atomic Swag.

I paired this with a pair of black vintage high waist shorts, a green headscarf and my brand new peachy jellies from SunJellies! Feeling the sand beneath my toes is priceless and these peachy keen jellies are so perfect for walking on the beach – in fact totally amazing for wearing all day, running around at the seaside AND even paddling in the sea too.

I am a little sad that summer seems to be slipping away and although I have been fortunate to have a sneaky preview of some amazing AW16 collections (read about my favourites here!) I am still trying to hold on to every inch of leftover sunshine. Today was so lovely to be able to get out and relax by the glistening sea, and have an ice cream on the pier. Time is so precious and ever since becoming a mum and getting back to performing/blogging I have learnt to live as much of life as possible. Previously I have sailed through life with a “I will get round to it” attitude and now I feel I have a ramped up zest for getting things done. I am learning to “trust the process” and arrive at my destination with a smile on my face. In this run up to my birthday, I feel grateful for what I have already accomplished and excited about what is around the corner.
