Morning Peaches. This week I have been a busy BEE. The saying:
“Success usually comes to those that are too busy to be looking for it”
could not be more true for me right now! Life never seems to throw me just one lemon – it is usually the whole flipping tree. I actually kinda like it – creativity breeds connections. I have been absolutely buzzing around my little hive making such sweetness (all puns intended) that I thought it was only appropriate to review this little Honey Bee Brooch – Love from Hetty & Dave.
I first saw Love From Hetty & Dave on Instagram and absolutely fell in love with their products. Each one is lovingly hand stitched and hand crafted to the highest quality. The body of the bee is made from a delicious metallic gold and black striped leather. Shiny silver suede wings and jet black leather head all perfectly hand stitched together match and make this a little show stopper in it’s own right.
I wore this with my favourite vintage Jaeger jumper and rusty coloured corduroy capris – I am in love with how it jazzes up your outfit. The body is slightly padded so it almost makes it look like this little Bee is about to take flight. The brooch back makes it super easy to attach onto any fabric. This is my little Honey’s first outing but there will be many more to come. Love From Hetty & Dave also gifted me a sassy little cactus necklace (post coming soon) so expect to see more of their fabulous pieces on the blog and also featured in my Outfits section.
For those of you that are not aware, I am 1/3 of 50s/60s vintage girl band – The Northernettes. I have been busy organising some pretty amazing collaborations, photo shoots and performances for the myself and the girls in the next few coming months. We just filmed our second music video a few weeks ago in the beautiful Bluebell Railway down in Sussex. I really cannot wait to share with you the new video as well as some behind the scenes photos from the day – until I get the green light though, that one is under wraps. I also met up with my fabulous guitarist Dave Hanson this week and we are working on some exciting new projects together as well as performance dates for the next few months. If you would like me to perform at your event, or would just love a natter – please get in touch, I would love to hear from you!
