I recently teamed up with the fantastically quirky “Jubly-Umph” – an Australian based company who make mystical folk like jewellery. Inspired by traditional tattoos and victorian styling – Jubly-Umph hand paints each design in watercolours and indian ink then magically transforms them into wearable art. Their range boasts eccentric characters adorning brooches, necklaces and other statement accessories. Using the code Georgia10 – you can also get 10% off and with international shipping costs at $5.00 – what’s not to love!
I received a whole Umph of Jubly’s in the post the other week and the first to grace my blog is this sweet measuring tape brooch. Made from solid stainless steel and resin, this came on a cute little brooch card.
‘One thing that shouts quality about Jubly-Umph is that each piece has a stainless steel back with their logo repeat printed on it – such a nice touch!’
I chose the measuring tape brooch to review because I love bows and also sewing, so combined this is the perfect brooch for me! I hand alter and shorten vintage for my store at Monica Valentine Vintage and own two sewing machines so this little brooch was very appropriate!
My #ootd also called for these cute pineapple earrings again made from resin with a solid stainless steel back. What I love about this brand is that their range is really affordable so you can treat yourself to a number of pieces each time you order! If you are just starting your vintage journey or even occasionally dabble in the retro world then Jubly-Umph is perfect for you. Ideal for every day wear, they have a great rockabilly edge and really jazz up your outfit. I have had a few requests from newbie bloggers, mums and newbie vintage lovers about how to dress vintage on a tight budget – thank you for getting in touch. I will be posting my top tips on here shortly and also linking to lots of purse friendly brands so that you can still look fabulous and still have pennies in the bank!
I am hosting a number of giveaways over on my Instagram page throughout July & August as well as dishing out discount codes so try your luck and enter and message me if you would like a cheeky discount code!
My July-Umph jewellery today comes paired with these high waisted strawberry print shorts from Lindy Bop. They are made from cotton, really stretchy and have a bit of give in them. With a zip to the back and slightly elasticated waist, they wear really well, especially when your day is busy. I would say they are a little big, I ordered a size 12 because I am in between sizes at the moment and the first few times I wore them they were a bit baggy. After a couple of washes, they do seem to fit better. I teamed them with deep red t bar pumps from Primark purchased last year and a white crop top and cardigan.
The items in this blog post have been gifted to me to review. I will always give my 100% honest opinion and never accept products that I would not be happy to buy and choose myself. I may also earn a commission from the links that are within this post. If you would like to collaborate with me, please contact me at info(at)monicavalentinevintage(dot)com. Please note, due to the high volume of requests from brands - I only collaborate, review and work with those that I feel my readers would like to view/read about on my blog.
