Hello peaches! A week or so ago, I featured the stunning new collection from Palava (read about it here) and a couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for them featuring their gorgeous “Beatrice” dress in the forest print. It is every bit as spectacular in real life as it is online too. I had the pleasure of modeling this with a handsome old chap – Marvin and his dapper matching navy jumper.
This is the perfect dress to wear from the warmer autumn days into the first frosty days of late autumn / early winter. The cut is so flattering, with a delicate but higher neckline which is ideal for me when performing. The soft three quarter length sleeves remind me of the true vintage shape that I often see when I am hand picking stock for my vintage collection. Then there is the print – oh the print. I fell in love with this dress (as you can undoubtedly tell) from the moment that I saw it and once it arrived in the post, I was head over heels.
The Beatrice comes fully lined and made from 100% cotton with a girl’s best friend – pockets! I performed in this recently (see Instagram post below!) and wore without tights/socks and a pair of mustard heels available from Aspire Style here. But for this shoot I wore with a pair of knee high cosy socks and some navy blue T bar pumps. I adore socks and t bar shoes, keeps my legs warm as well as adding a bit of a sixties feel to my autumn wardrobe. There are so many colour combinations that can be worn with this dress – it is so versatile! I adore the navy and mustard combination but even an olive green or autumnal browns and gold would also look striking alongside.
This beautiful creation washes so well (designed to machine wash at a 30’ temp) and is one of those dresses that you only need to run an iron over before you head on out the door. Quality speaks for itself but this delightful little darling also came in its very own eco packaging making it planet friendly (always an added bonus right?!) Another enchanting detail is that each dress comes with its own charming storybook to accompany and tell the way for each lovingly made design. Like an actual storybook with characters and everything – I cannot WAIT to read this to my little girl at bedtime!
This print has to be my all time favourite (it also comes in a skirt – can you just imagine!) but one thing that I like about Palava’s new collection is that this fit – the “Beatrice” style comes in so many different colourways as well as long or capped sleeves. There really is something for everyone in their new collection, oh and did I mention that they also do matching “mini me” dresses too for your mini little darlings …… (I will just leave that there.)
